As a long time fan of the Power Rangers (ever since season 1 of Mighty Morphin when I was a little kid), I've recently rediscovered my love for the series. And decided to try my hand at a fan fiction based in the PR universe. It will be wholly original while still remaining as true as possible to the source. It will not be based on any particular season or group. The events in this take place after many of the events that have already happened, and revolve around a new group of Rangers of my own design. While there will be elements taken from previous series, it will still be an original conception of mine.
As a fan, I think I can lend my skills as a writer to take a spin on the world of the Power Rangers, while not upsetting any other fans who desire to read my ramblings. As I said, it's not based directly on any one particular season, but does draw inspiration from them.
Notes for those reading:
Most of the story takes place "present day" this does not mean today or the present at all. I just didn't want the story to be tied to a specific date in time, and the reader can imagine the setting appropriate to their tastes. As such, I will be writing in my own imagination of the setting, and will describe the world as I see it.
As I've said, the events in this fanfic take place after the events of at least the first 6 seasons of PR. If you wish to refresh your memories of those events I highly recommend going back and watching the show. I know that at least that many of the episodes are available on youtube.
Some of the posts will be accompanied by my concept art of the Rangers, villains, monsters, and settings to help you visualize the world I'm molding. This is only to benefit the story telling, and is not required to view them to enjoy the story.
On a final note, please remember this is a fan fiction, and is not meant to offend anyone, and the stories will be posted when I feel they're ready. As such I may even go back and revise things as the story moves on, to make it gel better with the narrative direction. I am not affiliated with the production of the series in any way, though it is my dream to be on the show, and has been since I was a little child.
